The Woke will not like it, which is reason enough to do anything you can think of, and the Conservatives are the only party with the depth of character to pull off the required revival in British politics. Whether or not there is something rotten in the state of Denmark is not our place to say. We are solely domestically focused. And there’s a great stink in Blighty.
Clearly the rot has long been setting in across the landscape. People queue for free food rather than take a fourth job. Pensioners complain about the cost of heating their homes, when everyone knows you simply feel the cold more when you’re older. It is not the government’s fault. It is the natural cycle. Families say they can not afford food even as the town squares of our great country are replete with pigeons.
How has it come to this? Clearly the problem lies in the country’s politics. The Great British Blitz Spirit has been drained away by the snowflakes, libtards and other workshy handwringers. Our dignity has been squandered by those who mistakenly think that being one of the world’s leading arms exporters makes you responsible for the aftermath.
It’s all very well to claim to be the world’s sixth richest nation, but what of it if we don’t have the world’s richest man living here walking past the homeless. An idle boast at best.
The culture of easy lying, deflection and dishonesty that now riddles our executive has nothing to do with the obvious ill governance. You have to deceive the electorate or you can not lead it where you want it to go.
Happily this means we are well placed as a nation to promise ourselves our own revival, while continuing the ignore the impact of Brexit.
Mr Johnson must stand up today and announce he is going on a quest to return truth and dignity to British politics. He must raise the burning sword and promise to vanquish the coverups and lawbreaking at the heart of government. There’s no one better placed to do it as he is, after all, the expert on all of it. And the simple genius of the move will be his total insincerity. Only then can he get on with the job of government.
