Years after privatisation and services are so poor – this proves the mess the public made

Try getting a train. Just try. Go down to the nearest station and attempt to catch a train. It shouldn’t be too hard. But it is increasingly, fiendishly problematic.

First you simply need to navigate the choice of service providers and ticket options, and then hope there are no leafs on the line. The Japanese do it all the time, catch trains. The Chinese. The Continental European can’t help but show off by walking onto a train and going somewhere cheap. The Americans of course were rid of trains once they were no longer needed for the sets of Western movies. Just so. But just you try today, as a sovereign Englishman, to get on a train and go somewhere. It’s virtually impossible. And we all know why.

Clearly the Woke will be to blame, once we sift through all the surface reasons given for the deplorable state of UK railways.

Not just the rail services. The water, which is full of effluent and even polio. The bin collections, which now happen by lottery once a month in some areas of Britain. Mental health services. Whoever it is who is supposed to repaint markings on our roads; lines to separate lines, a vanishing species. The postal service. Well. I barely bother waiting for that doctor’s or lawyer’s letter to arrive in a timely fashion now. This is a personal attack by the former public owners of the Royal Mail. As soon as my uncle Bingly pops his clogs I stand to inherit a vast estate. But will I know? Not by letter I won’t. It’s a disgrace.

The Woke mob of far left, screeching fascist, anarchist communists want you to blame the privatisation of all these public services. This shows how little they understand about running a utility. Where would the profits of energy companies be without the free market? No. They do not care. They will simply point and screech at the state of things as if privatisation of services vital to civil society is to blame. As if the profit motive can’t cure someone of drug addiction or provide an affordable way to heat a stable.

They deliberately miss the point. These commies. The fact that any privatised service you like is a complete and utter shambles, often years after the free market came to the rescue with its wand, just demonstrates what a mess public ownership made of things.

It’s essentially just like the last Labour government and the UK as a whole. The Conservatives are still sorting out their mess twelve years on, and now need another new PM to have a go. Well. This just proves it. We can only be grateful that privatisation happened when it did or the road to recovery would be even longer, and there’s no chance of a timely rail service to that sunlit upland.
