It’s the height of bad faith for the EU to refuse to admit it collapsed last Friday

The Woke will not admit it and so it comes as no surprise that the living festival of wokeness, the tyrannical, undemocratic European Union will not admit it either.

We all have people in our pasts who can not admit what is staring everyone in the face. You. Them. Random strangers encountered at cocktail receptions during canapés. Everyone. And the dead superstate is no exception.

This is why you have to cut your losses sometimes and let someone go. Blitz Spirit will get you a long way when you are standing in the wide open spaces of a supermarket where fresh produce used to be. But even the famous plucky nature (only bestowed upon Brits) can get you just so far with an adopted relative who refuses to acknowledge reality as you proclaim it.

Of course it comes as no surprise to seasoned observers of the dead hands of Brussels that even now the European Union project is in the dust bin of history it won’t accept it. It’s fear of course which drives this recalcitrance. They are well aware that Global Britain once again rules the waves. They rightly fear looking out one morning, happy in the expectation of a day creating fresh red tape to strangle British enterprise, only to find the Queen Elizabeth parked off the cost of Madrid, or Hamburg, or Tallinn.

This is why we must push now and push hard. We must birth the new understanding of the our place again at the top of the global pecking order, the morbid EU far below, at our feet.

We must demand today that it finally opens it’s sealed lips and admits the truth. It is painfully obvious that the project failed last Friday. It fails every Friday. British newspapers predict and the EU does as it is foretold. Just they will not tell you. They won’t tell me. They dare not even whisper it to themselves.

Today the Prime Minister must once again despatch Lord Frost, by trebuchet, to Brussels and demand the ghost of the imperial, pan-European project float forth from the crypts of the Commission building and tell the truth!

“We failed last Friday. We collapsed. We just did not want to get off the gravy train and say it.”

Only then will Brits be able to once again import the food we need from the free states of Europe.
